Professor Augusty Tae Ferdinand is a Tenured Professor of Marketing Science at the Dili Institute of Technology. With more than four decades of teaching and research, he has served in senior academic roles at Diponegoro University, Universitas Surabaya, Ciputra University, Widya Mandala Catholic University, and Universitas Semarang, while maintaining his professorship at Dili Institute of Technology. He has long been active in doctoral education in Indonesia and Timor-Leste, focusing on marketing science, research model development in marketing, and human resource management, as well as advanced research methods.

He is the author of several influential books widely used in doctoral education, including Manajemen Pemasaran: Sebuah Pendekatan Strategis (2002), Strategic Selling-in Management (2003), Marketing Model Development (2005), and Metode Penelitian Manajemen (five editions, 2002–2015). His seminal works on Structural Equation Modelling in Management Research and forthcoming titles Advanced Management Research Method and Advanced SEM with AMOS (2025) remain key references.

Beyond academia, Professor Ferdinand has worked intensively as a marketing systems consultant for major brands such as Kopi Kapal Api, Mie Sedaap, Kapas Selection, Pennzoil, and Evalube, applying his expertise in sales management to strengthen and market expansion.

He has served as President of the Indonesian Academy of Marketing Science (IMARC) and the Forum for Management Research Methods in Indonesia, and remains active in international scholarly networks. His expertise is further recognised through external examiner roles, editorial board memberships (International Journal of Innovation Science- Emerald Insight, and reviewer service for leading journals including Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services (Elsevier, Scopus Q1).

At the Dili Institute of Technology, Professor Ferdinand enriches the DBA and PhD programme by combining theoretical depth with applied insights from decades of teaching, research, and consultancy.
